The Update Files Index screen centralizes all firmware files that were uploaded to the ACS (Auto Configuration Server).
These files are used for remote updates of devices linked in the system.
On this screen, all update files available in the ACS are listed, including:
If no files have been registered yet, the table will remain empty (as shown in the image above).
The + New Update File button allows uploading a new firmware or configuration file to the ACS.
When clicked, the system opens the Create Update File form, where the following information must be provided:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| File name |
File identification name in the ACS.
It is recommended to use standardized naming (e.g.: EG8145V5_V5R019C10S130.bin).
|
| File data |
Field to select the physical file (.bin, .cfg, etc.) that will be uploaded to the server.
|
| File type | Defines the file type according to its purpose in the ACS update process. |
| OUI | Manufacturer unique identifier (Organizationally Unique Identifier), used to link the file to a specific brand. |
| Product class |
Product class or model for which the file is intended
(e.g.: EG8145V5, F6600, ZNID-GPON, etc.).
|
The File Type field defines the purpose of the file stored in the ACS and applied to devices during the update process.
| Code | File Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1️⃣ | Firmware Upgrade Image |
Main **firmware** file used to update the internal software of ONU/ONT devices.
This is the most common type, usually in .bin or .img format.
During the update, the ACS transfers this file to the device and executes the upgrade.
|
| 2️⃣ | Web Content | Contains the **web interface** files of the device (browser-based administration panel). Used by manufacturers that separate firmware from the graphical interface. Updates HTML, CSS, and GUI scripts. |
| 3️⃣ | Vendor Configuration File | **Default vendor configuration** file containing parameters such as VLANs, SSID, PPPoE, and passwords. Used to provision devices with a unified base configuration. |
| 4️⃣ | Tone File | **Dial tone / line sound** file used in equipment with FXS (VoIP) ports. Defines dial tone, busy tone, and ringback tone according to regional standards. |
| 5️⃣ | Ringer File | **Ringtone** file for analog phones connected to the ONU. Allows customizing or replacing default ring tones. |
This feature allows ACS administrators to manage all firmware images and configuration files easily, keeping the environment centralized and secure.
🔐 Only users with ACS administration permissions can upload or delete these files.
