The Power Readings panel displays the history of the latest optical measurements from both the ONU and the OLT, allowing signal stability to be evaluated over time.
This view is essential for identifying signal drops, abnormal variations, fiber issues, dirty connectors, or optical intermittency.
Each row represents a power reading automatically recorded by the platform.
The following information is displayed:
| 📌 Field | 📄 Description |
|---|---|
| Username | The user responsible for the reading. This may be a portal user or an automated system process. |
| ONU RX | Optical power received by the ONU at the time of measurement. Typical operating values range between -8 dBm and -24 dBm. |
| Power Limit (ONU RX) | The ONU safe operating range. Used to validate whether the current value is within the normal range. |
| OLT RX | The optical power that the OLT is receiving from the ONU. Indicates how the ONU signal is reaching the OLT and is important for validating stability. |
| Power Limit (OLT RX) | The safe range defined for the OLT RX reading. In some cases, it may appear as N/A, depending on the OLT or ONU model. |
| Reading Approved |
Indicates whether the reading is within acceptable parameters:
• Yes – Within the limit • No – Outside the limit or inconsistent Used to identify readings that may represent a risk of instability. |
| Measured At | The date and time when the reading was collected. Allows the signal behavior to be tracked over time. |

The Power Readings panel is essential for monitoring the optical health of the connection.
It helps detect anomalies before they result in outages, validate field maintenance, and monitor ONU behavior over time.
