¶ 🔄 ONU Migration between PONLINKs on the Same OLT
The ONU Migration between PONLINKs automation allows reorganizing ONUs between different PONs within the same Fiberhome OLT, maintaining logical client distribution according to operational needs, expansions, or network restructuring.
This automation is essential to:
- balance occupancy between PONs
- reorganize the network after expansions
- correct saturated PONs
- optimize overall OLT performance
¶ 🧭 How to access the automation
To start creation:
- Go to System → Automations
- Click Create
- Select the group FTTH PON Network Automations
- Click Create Automation
¶ ⚙️ Automation Settings
After creating the automation, you will be directed to the configuration screen.
¶ 🏷️ Automation Name
- Can be manually defined.
- If left blank, the system will generate a default name.
¶ 🔧 VLAN Source
You may define where the automation will obtain the ONU VLAN from:
- OLT VLAN
- Profile VLAN (configured in the VLAN tab)
Choose the option aligned with your network configuration policy.
¶ 🧪 Dry Run Mode
- Enabled by default.
- Generates only a report of what would be migrated.
- No ONU is migrated while dryrun is active.
- To perform the real migration, uncheck the checkbox.
¶ 🛰️ OLT and PONLINK Selection
After configuring dryrun, select:
¶ 1️⃣ The Fiberhome OLT to be used
¶ 2️⃣ The Source PON
¶ 3️⃣ The Destination PON
¶ 4️⃣ The ONUs to be migrated
Workflow:
- Select the OLT
- The system lists available PONLINKs
- Select the source PON
- Select the destination PON
- Select which ONUs should be migrated
¶ ⚡ Parallel Threads
Define how many threads will run simultaneously:

| During daytime | Up to 10 threads |
| Overnight | Up to 40 threads |
¶ ❗ Fault Tolerance
- Represents the maximum number of failures allowed during the automation.
- If this value is exceeded, execution is automatically interrupted.
¶ 🕒 Automation Scheduling
You may define when the automation will be executed:
- Specific date and time
- Recurring execution
- CRON configuration
After adjusting all parameters, click Register.
¶ ✅ Finalization
Once created, the automation may be executed manually or according to the configured schedule.
It simplifies internal network reorganization, providing greater flexibility for load adjustments, expansions, or correction of specific PONs within Fiberhome OLTs.
